Are You a Conservative? It is not what the liberal media says it is!
Since the emergence of the Conservative values that Ronald Reagan used to bring this great country back to prominence and financial abundance, liberals have tried to redefine what a conservative is.
Why? Because they know that deep down most Americans have conservative values. In order to alienate the term ‘Conservative’ from people they have painted us as racists, christian radicals, and above all, a bunch of greedy rich people that don’t care about children, old people, or the poor.
For the past twenty five years there has been a ongoing assault from the left on conservative values. It has become so relentless that most conservatives are afraid to openly admit who they are. In fact, it became so bad that many republicans forgot the conservative values that got them elected and tried to become moderates. Too many Republicans became part of the Washington establishment and were more concerned about what the left wing media was saying about them then they were doing what was best for this country.
Let’s look at some facts. McCain lost because he was not a conservative. George Bush won because he ran on conservative principles. He was not a true conservative although he did show some conservative tendencies. His unwillingness to rein in government spending and growth led to the downfall of the republican party. His unwillingness to control our borders and address the illegal immigration problem has led to a fiscal nightmare especially in border states like Arizona and California.
I did not leave the Republican party, It Left Me!
Republicans had 8 years to fix the housing problems created by radical groups like Acorn. Giving Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac the ability to secure loans to people that could not afford a house destroyed our housing industry. Republicans stood by and let liberal dirtbags like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd among others continue feeding the housing industry with bad loans. They did nothing because they were afraid they would be labeled as racists for doing what was right.
Republicans did nothing for 8 years to control spending and our debt continues to rise. This is what led to the Democrats winning congress back in 2006 and increasing the numbers in 2008. Democrats did not win because we are a socialist nation. They won because millions of Americans were fed up with the Republicans not standing by conservative principles and many just stayed home on election day.
Guess what America? We are screwed! You think Republicans screwed things up? Now we have a bunch of Socialists and Marxists that want to completely destroy or country and reshape it in their warped views.
Listen to Lyn Nofgizer, who passed away in 2006. Nofgizer, who was with Reagan since his days as Governor in California and also ran political campaigns for Pat Buchanan and Steve Forbes, penned a very descriptive and enlightening definition of
“What is a Conservative”:
“Allowing for differences I would define a conservative, first as one who believes in the Constitution as it is written. That takes care of free speech, freedom of religion, the right to petition the government, the right to keep and bear arms and, in the words of William O. Douglas in one of his saner moments, ‘the right to be let alone.’
“Second, a conservative believes in small, limited government at every level. Along with this he believes strongly in individual responsibility. That is, a person or a family should take care of itself and turn for help to government only when all other means have been exhausted. It also means that society, before government, has a duty to take care of its own. Government should be a resource of last resort.
“Third, a conservative believes taxes should be levied for the purpose of financing the limited responsibilities of government such as providing for the common defense, catching and incarcerating criminals, minting money and filling potholes. Taxes should not be levied for the purpose of redistributing wealth.
“That’s about it.
“I know there are those who say a conservative should be pro-life, which I am, but I’m not sure a person has to be that to qualify as a conservative. Nor am I sure that a person must be opposed to pornography, which I am. In both cases there are questions of individual rights and responsibilities which are arguable.
“One other thing I think a conservative believes is that the parents, not government, are and should be responsible for the upbringing and behavior of their children.”
The fact is, what Nofgizer described above covers most Americans. Having conservative values is not complicated and is very American. It is the foundation this country was built on.
Most liberals hate the constitution and believe it should be changed. Most liberals believe that all answers to our problems most come from government. You know, the same government that has bankrupted Medicare, Social Security, and the cannot even turn a profit with the post office.
Liberals do not believe that capitalism works and that your hard earned money should be confiscated and redistributed to people that won’t work. If you work hard an earn a good living you are greedy and should be forced to give most of the fruits of your labor to the government who will know better what to do with it.
Liberals believe that government run schools should raise your kids. They know full well that our future lies with our children and have made a full scale assault on indoctrinating our kids and rewriting history to dumb down our children.
Liberals believe that Climate Change is not a naturally occurring phenomenon. They believe it is a political movement that can be used as a tool to confiscate wealth and redistribute it under the guise of saving the planet.
After reading the above, I ask you again. “Are You A Closet Conservative?”
There is only one way for us to stop this left wing assault on our freedom and our way of life. Get involved! Stop being afraid to say what you really feel.
Stop letting these liberals dominate the conversation. Fight back with the one thing liberals lack… Facts. You see when you support your argument with facts, most liberals will resort to calling you names. Why? Because the facts are against them. They do not deal in facts.
If all goes well, the Republican party will find their way back to conservative principles and we can straighten this country out once and for all. If you choose to stand by and watch you will get what you deserve. Come out of the closet and be proud to say you are a Conservative!!
